Solar and stellar activity cycles – no synchronization with exoplanets

چکیده
Cyclic activity on the Sun and stars is primarily explained by generation of magnetic field a dynamo mechanism, which converts energy poloidal into toroidal component due to differential rotation. There is, however, an alternative point view, explains gravitational influence planetary system and, first all, Jupiter. This hypothesis can be verified comparing characteristics exoplanets with variations their associated stars. We have performed such comparison drawn negative conclusion. No relationship between cycle host star could found in any cases considered. Moreover, there are reasons believe that strong may completely eliminate cyclic variation stellar activity.

As the material flows out of the Sun, it is accelerated to between 400 and 800 km s. Through this continuous flow of material, the Sun loses more than one million tonnes every second. But this is just a tiny fraction, corresponding to 2 × 10 of a solar ma...

متن کاملTheoretical Basis of Stellar Activity Cycles
Numerical simulations of hydromagnetic turbulence in the presence of shear and/or convection have given us new clues as to how the solar dynamo might work. Simulations suggest that here is signiicant large-scale magnetic eld generation at the bottom of the convection zone, where the radial shear is largest. The nature of the dynamo in the simulations seems to be qualitatively similar to an-dyna...
